Professional litigation services can be expensive.

Instructing a barrister through Direct Access can substantially reduce those costs whilst giving you total control over your case.

I offer all my clients a preliminary telephone consultation to check that your case is suitable for Direct Access and so that you can decide if I am the right barrister for you.

Wherever possible I will try to quote a fixed fee for the following services – advocacy, preparing advices, drafting court orders and opinions.

In some instances it is not possible to quote a fixed fee because the case is particularly complex or entails considerable research. In those circumstances I will charge an hourly rate.

You will be responsible for conducting much of the work required on your case yourself (that would otherwise be done by a solicitor), for example collating documents, submitting them to court, putting bundles together, receiving and replying to emails, letters and phone calls, filling out forms, and even drafting statements.

Reducing your costs

You will be reducing your costs whilst increasing your personal control of the case. You will completely control the cost of your case because I only work on fixed fees, paid in advance. This will give you control over costs.

To obtain a speedy price for work to be done it would help if you put together a short summary of the issues in your case with an estimate of the number of pages you need me to prepare.

My fees are representative of the standard of the expert advice and representation I offer. I do not aim to be the cheapest, but always strive to provide the best value for money with empathy and precision on what is your best interests as my client.

My fees are payable in advance. All fees are subject to VAT.
